PROJECTS

Completed and Ongoing PROJECTS of the Alumni Association :

  • Produce the Alumni Beacon, the quarterly newsletter

  • Published Second Edition of Alumni Directory in 3-ring binder and CD format.. AVAILABLE NOW!  For further information, click here.  Click here for order form.

  • Assembled ninety-minute video history of Wilson and Tenleytown.  Click here for further information.  AVAILABLE NOW!  Click here for order form.

  • Developed a large visual exhibit depicting Wilson's 60-year history.  It is composed of twelve 4x8' lucite panels depicting twelve different themes in Wilson's 65 year history and is housed in the lobby area outside of the auditorium


  • Found, reframed, and mounted class graduation pictures

  • Identified graduates who lost their lives in Vietnam and dedicated a plaque in their honor at a school assembly ceremony

  • Found, assembled and bound three decades (70s, 80s, 90s) of old Beacon issues

  • Established a web page on the Internet for alumni

  • Granted honorary lifetime association membership to 34 teachers who retired from Wilson with at least 10 years of service at Wilson

  • Making taped recordings of oral history

  • Advising reunion classes

  • Maintaining records, promo mailings to reunion classes, corresponding with members, membership renewals and collecting archival materials

  • Updating the Alumni Directory database.
