The second edition of the Woodrow Wilson High School Alumni Directory, published in the Spring of 2003, is the culmination of an effort that began in1990.
The directory has two purposes. The first is to accurately record the more than 23,000 students who have graduated from Wilson. Secondly, to provide a valuable aid to school administrators in verifying school graduation dates for the hundreds of inquiries received each year.
The source document used to correctly assemble all of the names has been the graduation program for each class. It is the one official document that lists each year's graduation class. The names that appear in the directory are presented in the same order as they appeared in the graduation program for each year. Graduates who have married or legally changed their names are referenced under their Wilson name, as well as their current name.
Students who attended Wilson but did not actually graduate are not listed. However, many of these individuals appear on reunion class mailing lists. Students who used another first name, initials, or a nickname while at Wilson are listed by these names on their respective reunion class mailing lists. All of the information included in the directory, other than the graduate's name, has been provided to the Alumni Association by the various class reunion committees. Reunion class mailing lists were invaluable in providing much of the information. Class coordinators for each reunion class were contacted and they provided updated information.
Changes and updates should be communicated to the association as they occur, so they can be entered into the association's database.
The directory has been published for the sole use of Wilson High School graduates and school administrators. It is not intended to be used by any individual, group, or organization to market its products or services, solicit funds, or advocate or promote any particular cause or issue. Any suspected, unauthorized use by such parties should be promptly reported to the Alumni Association.

A special thanks is owed to all those alums who took the time to hunt down classmates and obtain current information, including email addresses. An interesting byproduct of this effort has resulted in classmates, who have not corresponded in years, or ever, are now exchanging letters, phone calls and emails.
